Partner pilot

Build the Minnesota directory with us

ThisIsMN is a directory of Minnesota businesses, events and places. The partner pilot is how we work with the organizations that already hold this information: chambers with member lists, public agencies with services to publish, and software companies that want the data inside their own products.

It is early. We are taking a small first group so we can do the work properly with each one rather than run a signup queue. The directory currently holds 11,541 live business listings.

Three tracks, because you want different things

A chamber wants its members found. An agency wants a defined pilot with terms in writing. A software company wants an API and a support contact. Pick the one that describes you.

What a partner gets

  • A partner console listing every business you manage, with claim status for each one and a CSV export you can take away at any time.
  • A public page at thisis.mn/partners/your-organization once your application is approved, listing the businesses on your roster.
  • A direct contact here rather than a support queue, for as long as the pilot runs.

The console is reached with an account on ThisIsMN. You do not need one to apply. If you apply without one we link an account when we approve you.

What we need from you

  • One named contact who can answer questions and make decisions.
  • The list you already keep, in whatever shape it is in. A spreadsheet is fine and normal.
  • Honesty about what is wrong with the data. Every list has stale rows and we would rather know.
  • Enough time to look at what we build and tell us when it is not right. That feedback is the point of a pilot.

Organizations in the pilot

No organizations have completed the pilot intake yet

This list fills in as applications are approved, and it only ever names organizations that have agreed to be here. If it is still empty when you read it, you would be first.

Look at the three tracks

What happens after you apply

  1. 1. Your application lands in a review queue that a person reads. Nothing is automated.
  2. 2. We reply by email, including when the answer is no or not yet.
  3. 3. If it is a fit, we agree what the pilot covers in writing before any data moves.
